FIGHTING for A CURE.
According to the National Cancer Institute, in 2025 in the United States there will be approximately 316,950 new diagnoses of breast cancer in women and 2,800 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in men. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women.
Luckily, because of the advances in medicine and research and the support of organizations like YAGF, Inc., the survival rate continues to grow and nearly 91% of women diagnosed with breast cancer survive five or more years after being diagnosed!

Tribute: Yvonne Ashley Galiber
May 8, 1963 to May 28, 2025
Celebrating the life of Yvonne Ashley Galiber is a gift to all those who knew her. Whether you knew her as a sister survivor, cherished family member, lifelong friend, a beloved co-worker, or the founder of the Yvonne Ashley Galiber Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. she always wanted to help.
Yvonne was courageous not just in her brave journey through illness, but in the way she lived with dignity, courage, always humor, and an open heart. She gave generously of her love, even while navigating the unimaginable.
Yvonne encouraged many to elevate our standard of caring for each other. That was her life’s work. At the YAG Foundation, we hold close our promise to care for those who are medically underserved and uninsured, offering the compassion, resources, and support they need to live healthier, more hopeful lives — while working together to reduce the risk of cancer in our communities.
Yours for a cancer-free Virgin Islands.
